Font Stylistic Sets

How to activate my fonts stylistic sets in various design softwares and css?

Having trouble activating Stylistic Set in the fonts you design with?
Here's a quick guide to easily access this font feature!



Adobe InDesign


Window in the top bar menu
→ Type & Tables → Select Character
→ Select the text or the letters you want to apply a Stylistic Set to
→ Click the red circled menu on the Character Panel
→ OpenType → Stylistic Set → Choose a style in the list (All Stylistic Set are named on Blaze Type's fonts, but sometimes you may find it with naming such as ss01, ss02, etc.)

You can also manage Stylistic Set when creating a Character Style or a Paragraph Style in Indesign!
Create a new Character Style or a Paragraph Style
→ OpenType Features in the left column
Click the red circled arrow next to Stylistic Set → Choose a style in the list



Adobe Illustrator


→ Window in the top bar menu
→ Type → OpenType
→ Select the text or the letters you want to apply a Stylistic Set to
→ Click the red circled menu on the OpenType Panel
Stylistic Set → Choose a style in the list



Adobe Photoshop


→ Window in the top bar menu
→ Properties and scroll to Type Options
→ Select the text or the letters you want to apply a Stylistic Set to
→ Click the red circled icon
Choose a style in the list



Sketch


→ View in the top bar menu → Show Fonts menu
→ Click the Gear icon button in the Font Panel → Typography
Enable a Stylistic Set in the Typography Panel



Figma


Go to Design in the right column of the application window
→ Click the red circled menu in the Text Panel
→ Scroll down in the Type details window
Enable / Disable styles in the Stylistic Set list



CSS


You can activate this feature by adding this: And change the ss01 to any Stylistic Set present in the font
