Square
Details
Square font is a mono font, each sign is built within the constraint of a square, which enables it to be written from top to bottom and horizontally and vice versa. The initial idea for Square font was to imagine a square (a small park, in French), seen from above: if you look at the lightest version, the shape of the letter defines the park by its external contour. If you consider the boldest version, it defines the surface of the park…. The outline of the letters are lively and slightly flared, the counter-forms now look like kids playing there on a Saturday. The character fills and empties from the inside while keeping the same outline in each version, which allows many games of superposition with this mono font.
