Desktop
& Print

Install the font on your computer and use it in any design software (Figma, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.). Covers all print deliverables — books, posters, packaging, stationery. No pageview or print-run limit.

Web
(@font-face)

Serve the font on a website or web app using CSS @font-face. Includes WOFF and WOFF2 files. Covers all websites delivered to clients within your plan's client-size threshold.

Embed
(PDF, presentations)

Embed the font inside a PDF, Keynote, PowerPoint, or Google Slides file. Covers documents distributed to an audience (client decks, reports, proposals). Does not cover interactive digital publishing platforms.

Logo /
Brand mark

Use the typeface — modified or unmodified — as part of a logo, wordmark, or brand identity system. The client owns the resulting logo outright; no ongoing licence is required after delivery. Does not include trademark registration (see below).

Video / Motion

Use the font in motion graphics, title sequences, social video, explainer videos, or any time-based media. Covers files rendered and delivered to a client or published online. Does not cover broadcast television or cinema (see Broadcast).

App & Game

Embed the font inside a mobile or desktop application, or a video game. The threshold refers to monthly active users (MAU) at the time of launch. Studio covers up to 50K MAU; Agency up to 500K MAU. Beyond that, contact us for a custom quote.

Social Media

Use the font in content posted on social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, etc.). The follower threshold applies to the account publishing the content — Freelance up to 10K, Studio up to 100K, Agency up to 500K followers.

Contractor
sharing

Share the font files with an external collaborator working on your project — a printer, a front-end developer, a motion designer — so they can complete their part of the work. The contractor must not use the files for any other project, and the files must be deleted once the project is delivered.

Test licence
for clients

Send font files to your client so they can evaluate and approve the typeface internally before the project is finalised. Covers trial use only — the client may not use the fonts in production until a proper licence is in place.

Shared pool

On Studio and Agency plans, the annual project slots are shared across the entire team rather than allocated per user. Any team member can open a new project slot from their own dashboard. The counter is visible to all users in real time.

Broadcast

Use the font in content broadcast on television, cinema, or streaming platforms (Netflix, Disney+, etc.). Pricing varies significantly by reach (local, national, worldwide). Available as a one-time permanent licence — contact us for a quote.

Trademark
registration

Register a logo or wordmark using a Blaze Type typeface as a legally protected trademark. This requires a separate permanent licence regardless of your subscription plan. Contact us before filing — requirements vary by jurisdiction.

How does it work?

How it works

One project, one client engagement

A slot covers an entire engagement for a single client, regardless of its duration or number of deliverables. A full brand identity (logo, website, print, motion) counts as one project. Two separate engagements for the same client consume two slots.

Every typeface, no selection required

An open slot gives access to the full Blaze Type library for that project — no restriction on the number of families used, no need to select typefaces before starting work.

Opened from the dashboard

Slots are triggered manually, when a project starts. The designer names the engagement and confirms it in the dashboard. No slot opens automatically. Unused slots at year-end are not carried over.

Shared pool (Studio & Agency)

Studio and Agency slots are pooled across all users on the account. Any team member can open a slot from their own dashboard. The counter is shared and visible to everyone in real time.

Delivered projects & cancellation

Projects already delivered to the client remain licensed after the subscription ends. Only new projects are no longer covered. There is no need to repurchase a licence for past work.

Annual slot renewal

The project quota resets on the subscription anniversary date, not on January 1st. A subscription started on March 15th resets on March 15th the following year.

What happens to my projects if I cancel my subscription? +

Projects already delivered to your clients remain fully licensed — you don't need to do anything. The licence for completed work stays valid indefinitely. Only new projects started after the cancellation date are no longer covered.

Can I use the fonts on a client's website after the subscription ends? +

Yes — websites delivered while your subscription was active stay covered. New websites started after cancellation require an active plan.

My client has 8 employees. Do I need Studio, even though it's a small project? +

The client-size threshold is based on the client's total headcount, not the project scope. An 8-employee client exceeds the Freelance limit of 5 employees, so the Studio plan (clients up to 30 employees) is required.

Can I share the font files with my client's developer? +

On Studio and Agency plans, contractor sharing lets you pass the files to an external developer for the duration of the project. The files must be deleted once the project is delivered.

I need a font for a TV commercial. Is that covered? +

Broadcast use (television, cinema, streaming) is not included in the subscription. It is available as a one-time permanent licence — contact us for a quote.

My client wants to register the logo as a trademark. What do I need? +

Trademark registration requires a separate permanent licence regardless of your plan. Contact us before filing, as requirements vary by jurisdiction.

Can I switch plans mid-year? +

Yes. You can upgrade at any time; the price difference is prorated. Downgrades take effect at your next renewal date.

We are a team of 12. Which plan do we need? +

A team of 12 exceeds the Studio user cap of 10, so the Agency plan (unlimited users) is the right fit.

What counts as an "active user" for App & Game licences? +

We count monthly active users (MAU) at the time of launch. Studio covers up to 50K MAU, Agency up to 500K MAU. Beyond that, contact us for a custom quote.

For client companies exceeding plan thresholds, custom pricing is available. All fonts and weights in this pack are available for commercial use, subject to the limits of your chosen license. Any use beyond that requires a tailored commercial license — starting at €50.
